    Embed html code in Free Text area

    Asked by iamjeremyjones on May 15, 2013 at 03:44 PM

    Is there any way to get the html code that I paste into the free text area to translate on to the notification email? I am currently pasting code from office 365 (excel file specifically) and it shows in the form, it is editable, savable, and printable, however when the form gets submitted the information does not show up in the email.

    Thank you,

    Jeremy

    Unfortunately, data from Free Text (HTML) will not be added to the notification.

    I tried few options but emails doesn't like to take any object tags. The best solution I can think of is convery your excel in html and add that HTML code in your notification content.

    Let us know if you need further assistance on this.

    Thanks,

    Thank you for your quick response Sidharth. However my excel spread sheet is
    already converted to html via Office 365. As for adding it to the
    Notification content I am not exactly sure what you mean. Can you send a
    screen shot?

    @iamjeremyjones

    You need to add row in your notification email content and then paste your HTML content in that row. This row will be added in all outgoing notifications. Refer screenshot:

    @iamjeremyjones

    I'm afraid it wont be possible. Embedded iframe or script on the notification email might get stripped off. Instead of embedding the spreadsheet, use its direct URL instead and paste it to your email notification.

    Example:

    https://skydrive.live.com/embed?cid=7F6DB5BFD1E8CC86&resid=7F6DB5BFD1E8CC86%21181&authkey=ACdD37jqoRWTzdE&em=2&wdAllowInteractivity=False&AllowTyping=True&Item=Sheet1!Print_Area&wdHideGridlines=True&wdDownloadButton=True
