    Hi,

Is it possible to validate a field input vs a list of values? I am looking to use your mobile forms app in kiosk mode for event sign ins. Each attendee has a unique ticket code. I would like to include a questions in the form asking for the attendee code. Attendees specify the code and it is checked against a list of codes. Only if the code exists, the form can be submitted.

    Hello Michael,

    Thank you for contacting us!

You can achieve your expectation using the 'short text entry' element, by setting some 'conditions' to validate attendee codes. I have demonstrated the step using a screencast, below:-

Using 'conditions', please set up some codes for your users to validate. Unless they enter a valid code, they wouldn't be redirected to submit their submissions. This can be a good workaround to your requirement.

I hope it helps. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you have additional questions.

Thanks for the update. The issue is that there are hundreds of codes. Unless they can be uploaded as a list in one go, this workaround is not feasible.

Just a thought, could Sheet to Form Widget work.

You have all your valid codes on a spread sheet and entries are compared to the valid ones. Valid are accepted others not accepted. I use this widget for a number of forms to validate membership.

    Hello @Robert,

Thank you for this excellent suggestion!

I am sorry @Michael. I couldn't have said it better myself.

The widget supports the short text entry field.
