Varying formatting between CSV export origins and users

    Hi Support

My base issue is that export to CSV, the resulting file's dates are formatted as text and therefore cannot have formulae or functions applied. Colleagues are telling me to download from a different page in JotForm but I cannot seem to see this page.

A colleague noted that downloading from 'Inbox' produces this this incorrectly formatted file whereas downloading from the 'Submissions' page results in a usable file.

    1. Why does the page from whence one downloads or generates a CSV result in a differently formatted file. This should not be the case.

    2. Why am I unable to see the 'Submissions' screen that my colleagues are describing?

    Please advise.

I am not sure if I have understood your question correctly. Do you mean to say that when you download the submission CSV file form inbox page, the data format for submission data column is not correct but when you download it form submission page, it works correctly?

Is the issue happening with csv download or excel download as well? Please let us know and we will check the issue.

Do you want to see the submissions in sheets view for which you have shared screenshot? I did check your form and it seems sheet view is not configured for your account as it is still in beta.

Please click on the following submissions sheets URL and get back to us if you want to this to configured for your account, we will do the needful: https://www.jotform.com/sheets/91680936862873

We will wait for your response.

    Thanks for the Reply.

Problem is that, when we export the Jotform CSV, then it's date formate is becomes the Text. So, we can't export this. Also, when my colleague open the Jotform, then they all get different view then me. Can you guys share your contact number to explain more about this...

Sorry, but we do not offer phone support.

I checked the excel and CSV download from the Submission page and the Inbox page. Output from both pages, show the same format for the Submission date field.

Please note that the Submission date output contains both date and time and when downloaded will show a general format only.

Had the date and time been in separate columns, then the formats would be different accordingly.

What you can do is after downloading, the CSV or Excel file, select the column and change the format as shown below:

Also, when my colleague open the Jotform, then they all get different view then me.

The form that you have shared belongs to the account "Eyalst" where the JotForm Sheets page (for submission view) is enabled. Could you let us know how different are you seeing this page at your end? You can provide us a screenshot of the page here.
