    How can I receive an email once the member submits?

    I AM FINALLY FINISHED MY WEBSITE....I HAVE 2 APPLICATIONS FOR MEMBERS TO FILL OUT....HOW DO I RECEIEVE THE APPLICATION ONCE THE MEMBER SUBMITS THE APPLICATION?

    Hello bossnetwork.  You can modify you email notification settings in your form by doing the following steps:

    1. Edit your form
    2. Click on "Email Alerts"
    3. Select "Notification" option & click next.

    4. Click "Reply-To and Recipient Settings" button.

    5. Edit the email address in your Recipient E-mail Field.

    6. Click the Finish button

    Once you receive a submission, you should be able to receive an email alert to the email address that you have set for your notification.

    You may also add more email notification by following this Setting up email notifications guide.

    1.  SENDER NAME........WHO IS THE SENDER? ME OR THE NEW MEMBER?

    2.  SENDER EMAIL.....WHO IS THE SENDER ME OR THE MEMBER?

    3.  REPLY TO EMAIL...WHO IS THIS REFERRING TOO?

    4.  RECIPIENT EMAIL....WHO IS THIS ME OR THE MEMBER?

     

    THIS IS THE PART I'M CONFUSED ABOUT.  I WOULD LIKE TO RECIEVE AN EMAIL WHEN A NEW MEMBER APPLIES. THE EMAIL I RECEIVE WILL SHOW ME WHO SENT THE EMAIL OR WHO APPLIED FOR THE MEMBERSHIP OR APPLICATION.

    Hello again, bossnetwork.  Unfortunately, we do not have a voice contact center.

    To further understand your notification email settings -- email notifications are designed to be used as email alerts that should be received by the form owners (you).  So for your settings, here is how it should be used:

    Sender Name: You can just use the name of JotForm.

    Sender Email: The email address you'd like the email to be coming from.  Preferably, noreply@jotform.com is the best to ensure that you'll receive your notification.

    Reply-To Email:  This is a bit techincal.  The purpose of this is that once you hit the reply button on your email, it will set the To-address field to the email address you have set on this field.

    Example: You received an email from john@email.com, and when you replied to him, it showed that you are going to reply to peter@email.com.  This is because John's email had a reply-to setting that should be sent to Peter once you reply to him.

    Recipient Email: Your email address

    1. FOR THE SENDER NAME CAN I USE BOSS NETWORK CORPORATION INSTEAD?  I REALLY WANT TO KEEP THE BRANDING OF MY SITE.  IF THAT IS NOT POSSIBLE THEN I CAN USE JOTFORM.

     

    2. SENDER EMAIL:  I BELIEVE I AM OK WITH THIS PART

    3. REPLY-TO-EMAIL: WHAT WOULD YOU SUGGEST THAT I PUT IN THIS FIELD....IF I WANT TO REPLY to the NEW MEMBER?

    4. ALSO, WHAT GOES IN THE NOTIFICATION BLOCK.

    Hello bossnetwork,

    1. Yes, you can use Boss Network Corporation for sender name.
    3. For the reply-to email, you can set it to the new member's email field in your form
    4. For the notification block, if I'm not mistaken you're referring to the inclining NOTIFICATION text.  If so, it's just the title, so that when you click on Email Alerts, you'll know what you're going to edit. 

    Feel free to modify it if you want.  Only you can see it.

     

    In addition, you can modify the contents of your email notification such as the subject line, the content, etc, by clicking the Next button (beside the Finish button), you should be able to see something like this:

    WHEN I TRIED TO PUT THE BOSS NETWORK IN THE SENDER FIELD....THERE IS A DROP DOWN I CAN'T SEEM TO TYPE ANYTHING NEW.

    Please follow these steps to achieve your requirement:

    1. Open your form in form builder.

    2. Add one "Hidden box" in your form.

    3. Set the default value of this "Hidden box" to "BOSS NETWORK CORPORATION "

    4. Open your notification alert 

    5. Now you will see this new field in your Sender name field dropdown which you can select.

    6. Click on "Finish" to save your notification configuration

     

    That should solve your issue. Let us know if you need further assistance.

    Ok...thank you! That worked out very well for me.  However, I have another problem...maybe I am missing something...

    1.  I followed the instructions above, when I tested the application submittal by applying for the scholarship online. I received a thank you notification in the Boss Network Corporation email as if I was the applicant.

    2. When I applied for the scholarship as an applicant and entered my personal email address as a means of contact...I never received an email.  I only recieved an email in the Boss Network Corporation email.  I recieved 2 emails...(1) as if I was the applicant...one of the screen shots is below...

    How do I change this information even in the body of this message?

    You can change the body of the email notification in the Email settings, below is the step by step instructions on how this can be done once you have open the form for edit in JotForm.

    1. Click on "Setup and Embed" tab on the form builder toolbar
    2. Click on "Email Alerts"
    3. Select Notification
    4. In the next window you will see the structure of the notification email as displayed below,

    You can edit the body of the email according to your needs.

    Ok...thank you! That worked out very well for me.  However, I have another problem...maybe I am missing something...

    A.  When an applicant applies for a scholarship...I need them to receive an email as confirmation of their submission.

    Okay, now I understood your requirement.

    The Boss Network is already receiving submission emails. Now, you just need to just add auto responder to your form and that should solve your issue.

    This is unbelieveable....can I give you my password information and you set it up for me through JotForm?  I have 3 to set up....please let me know. I truly don't mind....

    I don't mean to appear to be ignorent however, I can not seem to get this...

    For the Auto Responder:

    Sender Name: ???

    Sender Email: ???

    Reply-to-Email:  ???? 

    Recipient Email:  ????

     

    Notification Email:

    Sender Name: ???

    Sender Email: ???

    Reply-to-Email:  ???? 

    Recipient Email:  ????

     

    When I apply for one of the scholarships online as if I am a student, I do not receive a confirmation.

    I would like to receive an email to let me know someone has applied. and an email should go to the student confirming their submission.

     

    I can not seem to get this part done. I have everything else but that. Can I give you my password and you do it for me?

    Hi, you don't have to give us your password information. As part of the support we can see your form just fine.

    Tell us what it is you need further and we will provide you assistance till all have been completed.

    When you say 3 to setup... are you perhaps refering to 3 more email notification? You can add as many email notifications using the Add New Email button

    If you are looking to re-create the form 3 times, you can use cloning. This is the guide on how to clone your form https://www.jotform.com/help/27-Form-Cloning

    When I said 3 times, meaning I have 3 separate forms to attach the same concept.

    You can also clone the original form to 3 more forms using this guide http://www.jotform.com/help/27-Form-Cloning .

    When you cloned a form, the email templates are also included. You can then apply modification on the form for variations, but the email notifcation templates will be there already.

    Hi,

    Yes, that is possible. You can either add your email address to the "Recipient Area" in the Form Notification settings by separating the email address with space them comma

    Example:

    bossnetwork@network.com, bossnetwork@boss.com

    Or, simply create another Email Notification with your Email Address as the recipient.
