    Hi,

    That is possible using some techniques;

    1. In our form builder, just put the letters as your options

    2. Get your form source codes: How to Get Form Source Codes

    3. In the source codes, find those letters and complete the word.

    4. Embed the form source codes to your website

This way, the word is complete but when you received the answers it only consist of a letter. One thing to remind is that, you have to re-do everything if you have changes to the form.

    Thanks

I guess this is your current method. Unfortunately, you will have to re-embed the form using the source codes. This time, make sure to click "Secure" box in the embed window:

Find the letters in the source codes then edit before to embed.

    Thanks

    @Mark

Please refer this guide on how to get your form's source code

You please make sure before downloading the form's source code you "Check" the "Secure Form" checkbox. This will give you the source code with secure url and all data transmission will be secured.

Let us know if I haven't understood your question.

    Thanks,

    Sidharth

Think you have misunderstood what I am talking about. I use the form located here https://secure.jotform.co/form/22539025958865  and say on the first option where they have the radio button choices and say they choose Arthur is it posible to code it somewhere that on the notification emails that it just shows the letter A and not the full word Arthur.

Same if they chose Mark it would come through as just a M.

    Thanks Mark

    Hi Mark,

Have you consider trying my suggestions above? That should work.

Example clone Form: http://form.jotformpro.com/form/31431337630950 (the option consist of letters only)

The embedded source codes: https://shots.jotform.com/welvin/amk.html. (We complete the letter into words) If you check the source codes (view-source:https://shots.jotform.com/welvin/amk.html), you'll see that the form is secure.

    Thanks

This form does not get embedded in my website but stays on your servers. When I go into the source code to try and edit it, it highlights the whole code so I can't get to the spot to change what the value = is to what I want it to show in my notifications.

    Thanks Mark

    Hi Mark,

    Sorry for the trouble.

By following this guide: http://www.jotform.com/help/104-How-to-get-your-Form-Source-Code, you need to copy the highlighted codes because there's no way you can edit them within that window or within the embed window.

After you copy the codes, paste them to any text editors your have. Say "notepad"

Find the Letters from the codes then complete them into their respective words

After that, you need to embed the source codes. Copy and paste the codes to your webpage HTML Editor.

Let us know if you need any further assistance.

    Thanks

I don't need to embed it on my website. People only access it from this web address https://secure.jotform.co/form/22539025958865 so whatever we have to do has to be done so it works there.

    Thanks Mark

Hi Mark, it sounds to me like you are just using the Direct Link for the form then since you say you are using the form directly from our servers here? In this case you won't be able to change any of the source code here other then editing the form or fields and possibly using some css to modify it a bit more as such depending on what all you are trying to do.

To me from your previous responses above it seems like you are wanting to hide the use of the Admin Names on your form somehow. You will either have to manually change them or create a hidden option to use that. The email tag {adminPerson} in your email notification is going to automatically associate with whichever Admin is chosen so it will always display that way. Something you could try doing though to mask that would be to create it as a Hidden Box Field then use conditions to display the Admin on the Form. You can then use the Original Admin Radio Button Options as your A,M,K intitials.

Please see this example form of how this could work (you will need to clone and test it yourself to understand it better) - http://form.jotform.us/form/31433951241144.

Note you cannot see the Admin that is selected but you can see the intials on your form when filling it in and submitting it. The only way you can physically see which admin is selected is if you set it up this way in your Email Notification to show you or if you log into your Submissions Control Panel to then view it also. You can then match the Initial to the Admin Name = Admin 1, Admin 2, Admin 3.

Ok then so if I embed this secure form onto my unsecure website (http only) and make the changes like I want in the source code will the form still be transmitted securely?

    Thanks Mark

    Hi Mark,

Yes, the form is still secure. Data transmitted to your form are secure, as long as you have embedded the form using our Secure URL feature.

    Thanks
