Form being submitted even when a mandatory field is not completed

Asked by oxinst on May 24, 2013 at 04:37 AM

One of the forms that I have has a required field and validation as numeric, but several times the form can be submitted without this field being completed.  How can this be?  Any ideas?

Have you embedded this form into your website? If yes, it is probably because of the script conflict with your present form embed codes and your website scripts. Causing your customers or users to bypass the required fields. Please try to embed your form using our iframe method: How to Get Form iFrame Codes.

Second, if your customer/user Browser Javascript is disabled. I suggest you to add this line of codes to your page to let them know about it.

    I hope this helps.

@Welvin, thanks for your quick reply

I suspect that it may be the Javascript being disable, as it is happening only on about 10% of forms that are submitted

My colleague has just informed me that we now have a server side validation for required fields. This is for the Javascript being disabled on user's browsers that when you submit, it will prompt you an error for the required fields. So, that reason is excluded now.

That is probably a conflict, please try my suggestions with embedding your form using our iframe method. See if that helps.

    Thank you!
