I recently updated my form. when it sends the form looks the same as it did before... as if the updated form did not save... how can I fix this?

I assume that you are facing an issue with the email notifications. Could you reintegrate the notification email into the form i.e. delete the existing one and add a new one?
Please try this and let us know the update.
