Save and Continue forms... Can a respondent change an answer once submitted with out having to answer all other questions?

Asked by Wade on May 29, 2013 at 04:11 PM

My questionnaire is lengthy requiring free form text responses and I noticed on the demo of Continue Later Form that once the form is submitted the data is gone when one goes back via the emailed link.  Some of my respodents may wish to change a resonse and re-submit but it seems like they would have to re-spond to all the questions... is this correct?  ... possible work around???  Can a respondent automatically recieve an email with their completed/submitted questionnaire to retain thier response for their own records?  Or can a print option be added for the respondent to print the completed questionnaire before submitting?  ---Thanks

    Hi Wade,

Yes, that is correct with "Save Now Continue Later" function.

I suggest you to include "edit_link" instead so they can edit their submissions if they want to change or add something. You can add this tag in your Form Notification settings. See this visual guide:

With regards to the Print Option, you can add Print Button to the form by following this guide: https://www.jotform.com/help/24-Print-Button-on-Forms
