[Email Alerts] Problem with form attachments

Each month, we have users submit a form with several attachements - jpg's and pdf's mostly.   Over the last several months, we have issues where the download links in the email form submissions do not work, instead producing the error shown in the attached screen shot.

I have been unable to find any commonality to the times when the errors occur and with the issues this month, I was able to access the links if I viewed the submission within Jotforms or if I send the form again to myself via email.

My guess is that the directory/file path is getting corrupted in the emailed form, but I'm not positive.

Hello outugo, can you please paste here a sample link that was created from the email alert that fails, and the same link coming from the submission page?  Or anything that we can look-up and compare so we can find out what's going on.

    Thanks.

Here is a screen capture comparing the submission email source code against the source of the email I generated by choosing "forward submission" when viewing via the website.

If you look at the URL for the PDF document named "Dave 20 Questions.pdf" immediately after the highlighted word QUESTIONAIRE, you will see that the URL in the bottom email is corrupted.

I wasn't able to attach the jpg to the posting - can I email it to you?

Thank you for provided screenshot. We will try to check this.

Also, what URL is showing up in browser when you open the Dave J Questions.pdf link from the first email?

    Hello outugo.

Upon checking the file, it appears that the correct file name did not update properly on the submissions page. For your 1CCRF+Logo.jpg file, the correct link is this:

    http://s3.amazonaws.com/jufs/outugo/20263539231/235137089121116580/1CCRF_Logo.jpg

For the other file, I could not replicate the issue, but the correct link is this (But I guess you can get this from the submissions page):

    http://s3.amazonaws.com/jufs/outugo/20263539231/235044430412522588/Dave%20J%20Questions.pdf

We'll also keep you posted as soon as we have updates on this matter.

    Thanks.

Hello again, outugo.  I have made a fix regarding the filenames on the submissions page as well as on the email alerts.  Files with + signs should now automatically be replaced to underscores (_) so to prevent bad links on your submissions page and on your email alerts.

However, I could not replicate the issue on the Dave J Questions.pdf file, so we'll continue to observe this situation.  It would also be great if you can share with us other links that still appears to be a problem on your end.

Please also do let us know if you have other questions or concerns.

    Thanks.
