Hide Certain Questions

There are some questions I would like for the office only to fill in once we receive the application. E.g. I give my egg donor a donor code. I dont want the donor to see this code. Once I get her application, she is aproved, I fill in her donor name on her form. Is this possible? Or something like this possible. I see the hide option - but not sure what this means.

It is possible to hide fields using conditions and use the edit link to edit the submission.
