Duplicating Blocks of Multiple Fields / Widgets as a Group

Asked by technologypainkillers on June 05, 2013 at 08:58 PM

I checked a little more this time to make sure there wasn't a direct answer in the user's guide first, but please forgive me if I missed it.

I see how to duplicate a single field, move it to a new location, and tweak it as needed.  However, I have a whole stanza of fields that I'd like to copy and paste as a group.  Employer #1, Employer #2, etc.  The fields for the first employer are the same needed for the next several employers.

How would you approach replicating the same group of fields over and over without tediously inserting them one at a time?

Thank you, very much, for your time.

    Regards,

    Mike

Hi Mike, currently, there is no way to duplicate multiple fields at once. This option is being requested a lot, so I have resubmitted a feature request ticket to our Developers.

We will update this thread as soon as we got an update.

I'm blown away by how rapidly your team churns out new functionality, and
by how responsive you are, even to people who are just in the evaluation
    phase.
Hopefully, you're donating at least 20% of every other sprint or so to
refactoring for code maintenance and quality. :) Delivering functionality
as rapidly you are doing usually creates some quick-n-dirty code "under the
hood". [?] It takes some wise dev-management to schedule refactoring into
the sprints when the customers see no tangible benefit.
I'm very blessed and pleased with you guys. It's enjoyable being on the
receiving end of this talented team.
    God bless you all.

    Hi Mike

You'll be pleased to know that it's now possible to copy multiple fields. See Item #2 in our latest JotForm Weekly Updates thread (June 11 to 17, 2013) for details.

If you would like assistance with this feature, we'd be happy to help.

    Cheers

    Question off of this thread...

Say I have multiple forms that would use the same list of questions.  Anyway to copy and paste a group of questions between forms?

For example, I have a list of questions and conditions for 'employee 1'.  I would like a second employee in this form- I can do that.  But I would also like this exact 'employee 1' in a different form.  Is that possible?

    Thanks!
