    Form Freezing / Sticking

    Asked by bigbudgie on June 08, 2013 at 07:28 AM

    Hello,

    i am contacting you again regarding the multi page form that I created, it is repeatedly "locking" or "Freezing", what happens is that when you click next nothing happens, you have to close the form and then start again, (obviousley not desirable as you will no doungt loose visitors).

    You did very kindly respond and suggest I remove a "2" from the code, which I did; I thought this had cured the problem but yesterday noticed again that it was sticking on a colleagues computer.

    We have tried different browsers but the problem whilst intermitent is occuring on all we have tried.

    We have also today received a complaint through facebook saying the form does not work.

    Could you please see if you can advise on a solution, as previousley mention I have seen this problem mentioned several times on the forum.

    This is upsetting as I thoroughly support your product and think the service and back up you offer is first class, (I regularly recomend jotform to others)

    Many thanks

    Hi,

    I was able to replicate the problem on the initial load of the form. However, after re-opening the form, it works normally as expected. This issue is commonly caused by code conflicts or something related. May I suggest to try removing again the "2" after feedback on the first line of your lightbox embed code and then add the following script below to your jquery reference? See if this helps.

    <script>$.noConflict();</script>

    Let us know if this doesn't make any difference. Thanks!

    As my colleague Elton said, there may be code conflict is reason for this. I tried it in safari browser and able to reproduce the problem when i clicked first time after page loads. but, there is no issue when i closed and opened again.

    Please add that code he suggested to avoid code conflicts. I found that you have not added that code yet. Please try this.

    Thank you.

    Hello,Thank you for your response, I have inserted the code as directed on to each page of my site where the form appears, I had done this following the request from your colleague, Elton. I have checked and the code is in the place I believe you have indicated. (I confess I had missed a page but have now inserted there as well!), Could you please confirm it is in the right place and that this appears to be working correctly, we are also checking our end too.Many thanks again for your help.Bigbudgie

    Hi, I found that you have misplaced the code. Please place the code as below.

    <script type="text/javascript">

    window.jQuery || document.write('\x3Cscript src="scripts/jquery-1.8.3.min.js" type="text/javascript">\x3C/script>');

    </script>

    <script>$.noConflict();</script>

    <script src="scripts/museutils.js?4076886207" type="text/javascript"></script>

    As shown in the figure below. Sorry for the inconvenience.
