How can I customize "required field" message?

Asked by JetHedgehog on May 31, 2010 at 09:37 AM
I'd like to use JotForm on Russian site.

Cyrillic texts and fields works fine, but I cannot found how to customize "This field is required" message.

It's really frustrates user to see English text on Russian site.

Try using the source code and edit the jotform.js file. On the "Share Form" wizard, click on "Advanced Options" and then click on "Download Zip". Edit the jotform.js in a text editor and change the code on your site.

That's not the code you should see. Are you sure you used the "Download Zip" link on the "Advanced Options".

When you download that you will get a form file and css/js files. You will edit those and use the form on your site. Here is what the folder should look like when you open the zip:

You should edit the js/jotfom.js file and then upload all of these files to a folder on your site.

    Hello,

I already edited the texts in Spanish in the HTML code, but I can't upload the jotfrom.js file nor the Untitled_Form to Jotform to get the script. I created a form to use in Jimdo (free version) website. Waht do I do?

    Thanks in advance.

Then you should use the Inject Custom CSS feature to edit the required field colors, intead of using the full source code. Because you cannot use full source code without uploading those files.
