    Pending Submissions

    I have people registering for a conference and paying for it. I noticed that if a person registers and selects a payment method it takes them to a page where they can pay with PayPal. If they exit without paying, their partial registration goes into a Pending Submission area on the Jotform site. The only way to know that the person did not complete the registration process and pay is to log into Jotform and view the Pending Submissions.

    Is there a way for me to get notified by email of incomplete or pending registrations? I need to know who is attempting to register because they may be missing the deadline without anyone working with them.

    Hello billhz,

    Unfortunately, there is no email notification settings yet for submissions that are set to be placed in pending submissions.  Although we have received requests from some people who are asking for the same feature.

    I will submit a ticket to our administrators to let them consider implementing this in the near future.  But unfortunately, we don't have a definite time when will this request be completed as our development team is quite busy.

    We will let everyone know if this has been developed and completed.

    If you have any other concerns, please let us know.

    I would also like to have this function.  I too have a paid account with SEVERAL forms.  We receive several submission everyday (across several different forms) and quite often items get placed in the pending folders.  Since we have so many different forms it is difficult (and time consuming) to check each form every day for pending submissions.  As a result we loose several "sales/donations".  It would be a GREAT help if we could get emails when an item is placed in the pending folder(s).

    +1 I vote for this too!

    If a real time notification doesn't work, an end-of-day notification would suffice.

    I too would like the above, but I'd be even happy that incomplete payments would show up in the "Forms Overview" area where it says the number of NEW submissions per particular form -- that it also shows (at that point) number of Incompletes so I can do a quick scan everyday of this page, for those that didn't go through.  And then go in deeper if I have to (like if one was flagged incomplete).  Here is hte screenprint of the page I'm talking about,

    Hi Guys,

    We understand your eagerness to rush to this step, but sorry to say we do not have any idea when this feature will be implemented as our developers are always busy on some other features/bugs that needs to be accomplish, their current workload is extremely heavy. But, please bear in mind that we will not stop maintaining and improving our product's and service's quality.

    I wish you'd make completion of current features a higher priority than you do. Users have been asking for this for the better part of a year (at least!) and still nothing. It's a pretty basic requirement that if a user thinks they have made a payment/purchase and something IS KNOWN to have gone wrong, they need to be notified - by you OR by me, but it has to be pretty automatic (and timely!).

    Having to login to Jotform daily and look at EVERY form to see if something is "Pending" is a pretty serious shortcoming.

    This has been "on the list since at lest April 2011. It's a basic function of accepting credit card payments. Instead of spending time on new features you need to focus on making the old ones work properly.

    This is not an enhancement or a feature, it's a basic function of processing credit cards.

    Having to monitor, on a daily basis, all of my forms that allow a payment, would be absurd.

    Sorry do be so direct, but are you going to fix this or not?

    Hello David,

    Definitely, our developers are going to implement notifications for Pending Submissions.

    However, let me please explain this, notifications for Pending Submissions is not a basic function. It is clear for end users when transaction is not going through, so that the form users may contact form owner if they have any problems or questions.

    I have sent a request to our developers to see if we can get any ETA on this.

    I see this feature has been requested for months now and yet we are still waiting.

    I am trying to promote an event and I can see several people completing the form but when they are about to pay they simply don't do it.

    I would like to send an autoresponse email to all those people that didnt complete their registration remindind them that they can also register at location on the day of the event.

    To get the "incomplete payments" information I have to get them manually, there is no export button. If there is not going to be support to get an "autoresponse after incomplete payment option" at least provide us with a simplier way to export the data of the incomplete payments.

    Hello cbtcollege.  We understand that a lot of people need this feature, but unfortunately, we still could not give you a timeframe to when this feature will be implemented as our developers are pretty busy working on other developments that are already in the pipeline.  But as soon as this is implemented, we'll sure to let you know.

    For the export feature and the customer emailer for the incomplete payments, I'm afraid that there is no current feature for these.  You can still however post a new topic and request for these feature.  We'll forward it as well to the development team for a feature request.

    15 months from the start of this thread (really it goes back even further); and still the problem is not addressed. It's basic credit card functionality.

    I think "Please be patient" is no longer an answer.

    Jotform is a great tool, but this shortcoming is a real black eye.

    Any ETA yet?

    Sorry to inform you late. We have already added the Pending Submissions Notification feature. You can enable it by right clicking the product field, select Show Properties and set Yes on Pending Payment E-mail. Here's a visual guide:

    After the users submission but did not complete their paypal payment, they are still not getting an email as advertised by this feature. Are there other settings that must be in place? If payment is submitted i'll get email but not for pending payment submission.
