Conditions based on product items are not working anymore

Asked by SVLL on June 20, 2013 at 02:30 PM

This just blocked our registration system!  It was working for a long time and suddenly I cant figure out what the problem is.

Scenario:  User selects "register 1 player", "register two players", "register three players".. then they click NEXT.  Based on that input the form will hide a complete section for player 2 or player 3 based on their choice.  Now it shows all three sections no matter which option is selected.  Since there are many required fields, parents are blocked from proceeding.

    Please help ASAP!   Thanks

    Ty

We are very sorry for the inconveniences.

According to my test, we have a problem with conditions based on product items. I have created a bug report ticket, and escalated it to our Development Team.

In the meantime, you can Clone the form, and configure your conditions to be based on your plReg field instead.

We will get back to you as soon as we have any updates from our Developers. Thank you.

That will not work.. PLReg is hidden and used for administrative purposes only.

In this case you can add one more field to control conditions, and ask your users to use it. Anyway, this is a temporary problem, and I hope that it will be fixed really quickly.

I am happy to revise the form utilizing a drop-down control, but that means the PayPal control will need to conditionally respond based on the selection from PLReg.  I cant see how to configure a rule for that control.  Are you recommending that a user not only use PLReg, but then make a corresponding selection in the PayPal control?

Yes, this is what I mean.

Unfortunately, we do not have such rules, but we can write a little javascript code in order to implement the corresponding selection. The javascript code can not be added directly to the form, so that you will need to get the full source code, then embed it to your web page.

Would you like to use this option with source code + added javascript? If yes, we will be able to provide you with further instructions.

    Thank you.

PLease do.  I have reverted the form to "1 player" to unblock some families, but we urgently need to support families with 2-3 players too.

    1. Clone the following form to your account:

    http://form.jotformpro.com/form/31705458197966

    - you will also need to re-add your PayPal details through the PayPal Wizard.

    - and make sure that recipients are correct on the form email notifications.

    2. Get the source code of cloned form.

    3. Embed the source code to your web page.

Add onchange="makeSelection();" code to the dropdown with id input_137.

Then, add the following script code after the closing </form> tag.

    Result should look like this:
