Is there any way to limit the response to only sections of the form that were filled in?

we have space to add up to 10 family members.  even if this blank, the response shows all of these blank spaces.

    THanks

when i receive a RESPONSE from a form submission, i see ALL the sections of the form even those that are blank.for example, my form allows for the addition of information for up to 10 household members.  If i am a single person and i only fill out the first part and then SUMBIT, my submitted form includes blank spaces for the unanswered questions for those other 10 household members.  My question is, is there a way for submission to ONLY include those sections of the form that have been filled out?

    Hi again, @dpoppitt!

    Thanks for the clarification.

Kindly note that you can easily hide empty fields in the submissions page by checking the "Auto Hide Empty Fields" option as shown below:

    Hi again, @dpoppitt!

That's because you're not using Submissions Page to view the submission.

You can hide submission empty fields in Submissions Page as demonstrated in my last response.

Alternatively, you can use Form Inbox, as it automatically hides empty submission fields. You can directly view any submission in Form Inbox as follows:

    www.jotform.com/inbox/{SUBMISSION_ID}

Please let me know how I can further be of help.

Thank you. I am not referring to the SUBMISSION page. I am referring to the submission EMAIL.
[A screenshot of a social media post Description automatically generated]
There is an option in SETTINGS under EMAILS that supposedly allows you to HIDE EMPTY FIELDS. It states that by ENABLING this feature, “..empty fields WON”T be visible n RECEIVED EMAILS.”
I have this ENABLED and I am still seeing BLANK FIELDS in my emails.
    Thank you,

    Hi again, @dpoppitt!

    Thanks for your clarification.

I've submitted your form, un-required all the fields, filled in one field, and finally submitted it.

The email notification I received has included only the field I filled in as shown below:

    1591211719Screenshot 2020 06 03 Re Clone Screenshot 10

Do note that as long as the "Hide Empty Fields" option is enabled under email notification settings, all empty fields should be hidden.

I have cleared your form caches from here. If the issue still persists, please let us know what fields exactly are you experiencing  the issue with.

We're patiently waiting for your response.

Thank you. I just went in and completed the first part of the form but added NO household members. My response still shows all the BLANK additional household member fields.

Your response stated that you had “un-required” all the fields. Most of the fields ARE required. Does that mean this only works if the fields are set to “unrequired”?

    Hi again, @dpoppitt!

The test I made was performed onto a cloned version of your form.

This time I have tried to submit your own form, but it seems that all fields are required, so that I couldn't submit while there were still empty fields to see whether they are present on email notification or not.

Could you please set at least 3 fields as non-required so we can further test your form?

So the fields have to be marked as not required in order for them to not show in the email?

Your email notification is working just fine upon testing a cloned version of your form. I tried not filling the first 3 unrequired fields in the form and I am not seeing those on email. Example:

    On Email:

So the fields have to be marked as not required in order for them to not show in the email?

    - Required or not, for as long as the field is empty, it won't be shown on email. But logically you can't leave a required field empty because you can't submit the form so you will have to fill them before you can submit the form.

Also, Just FYI, your email notification is showing HTML codes at the top. It was probably messed up when you edit your email. I suggest recreating your email notification to get rid of the error and to fix the row that's not showing field tag.

To recreate the email notification, just delete the existing email notification and create a new one.
