Field Confirmation: Putting a space on both fields bypasses the required field validation.

    Hi Jotform,

I have noticed that when you use the widget "Field Confirmation" and making it required it is possible to fill it in with only space. --> the required setting does not fulfill it's purpose.

    How to solve this?

Example is in my form "Application Help to Help Scholarship Program" in the question "confirm amount"

Thanks for reaching out to us. I tested the Field confirmation widget, and I couldn't replicate the issue. I am unable to move to the next page if the input doesn't match. (I had cleared your form caches before testing.)

Test your form again and let us know if the issue persist.

    Hi again,

    Thank you for your answer!

However that wasn't my problem. I meant that it is possible to fill in a blank space (same in both fields) in a required confirmation widget. I think that a required field shouldn't accept a blank space?

Technically, a space is still a character, hence, that might be the reason it is already considered an input.

However, logically, I agree that a space alone should trigger the required field error just like the other regular fields.

I have forwarded this to our backend team and you will be notified here once we get an update.
