Can I remove the "empty option"?

Can I close the "empty option"

I dont want the "empty option" to be in the dropbox list at all.

can we do that?

The "Empty Option" can't be removed. However, you can add a custom text instead of the "Empty Option".

You can also use the Single Choice field instead of the Dropdown field. 

"single choice" take a lot of space.

Yes single choice field field displays all the option in form and that is the reason why it takes more space.
