    Hi,

I need to create a HIPAA compliant form where a doctor fills out one part of it and signs it then it is sent to a client for them to sign it too.  I can't use approval workflow for this.  Please help.

    Thanks, Andrea

    Hi,

yes, unfortunately, you can't use the method of sending the edit link in an email for this, because with HIPAA accounts the edit link requires account access and won't work for regular users.

If it wasn't set up like this anyone in possession of the link could access the submission, which wouldn't be HIPAA compliant.

You could maybe use two separate forms to collect a signature from the doctor and then from the client? Do you think that would work for you?

That would not work but I could use a jpeg of the doctor's signature in lieu of e-signature.

If your doctor has access to JotForm account, you can let your client first fill up and submit form and then your doctor can edit the submission and sign it. This will work provided your Doctor has access JotForm account.

Unfortunately, there is no other option to allow form to be submitted by two different users.
