    Form wont update and the custom css isn't working.

    Asked by mavis310 on April 28, 2011 at 04:42 PM

    here is a link to the form:

    The form is not updating. It is supposed to have the same background as the background of the site and when the text area is active, its background is supposed to be a lite green.

    Any help will be good.

    Thanks

    Hi mavis310

    Sorry to hear about this. I have noticed what appears to be a couple errors in your CSS:

    However, much of that CSS can be eliminated and you could make the background transparent: Load your form in the form builder and while on the "Setup & Embed" tab, click "Preferences" and on the "Form Styles" tab to the right of "Background" type "transparent" (without the quotes)

    To be continued shortly ...

    Hi,

    You have multiple errors in the css code that you have injected.

    Your background should be set to repeat because the image you have used is small. One more thing, headings have their own background, therefore you should insert a css code to set the background to none if you want it to inherit the form's background image.

    Also, for the active  textbox's background, use this code instead:

    input:focus {
    background-color: #cef0a9;
    }

    I went out of my way and edited your injected code so the background and the textbox background works flawlessly.

    Hope this helps. Let us know if you have further questions.

    Regards,
    Neil

    To continue in the same vein as Neil, the text area and select fields can be styled in like fashion by using the following ruleset:

    input:focus, select:focus, textarea:focus {
    background-color: #cef0a9;
    }

    Hopefully, you found our solutions worthwhile. Please feel free to post additional queries about our form builder.

    Thanks.

    P.S. That's a very cool website! :-)
