Field manager not available for HIPAA enabled accounts

Why does Jot form charge users more money for a Silver level subscription?

If I stay on Bronze and do not have HIPAA compliance, I can copy forms and elements easily using field manager, but when I upgrade to Silver, I lose this benefit for no apparent reason.

I would like an explanation about this restriction or access to this feature. Please give me one or the other.

    Thanks in advance

    Chris

    Hi Chris,

    Happy to help you today.

I would like to inform you that we understand you concern but with HIPAA compliance all the data you collect is protected by default. Field manager is used to transfer fields data is used to transfer data from one form to another. This is why the field manager functions are disabled automatically when you are using HIPAA.

Please check out this guide for more details.

On the other hand you can try to deactivate the HIPPA Compliance and field manager app should start working.

    Looking forward to your response.

    Thanks

    Thanks for the response.

Can I disable HIPAA when making new forms and enable it again? isn't this stuffing around with the pricing subs levels?

Is there some kind of step by step for those in my position. I need HIPAA but the field manager feature is the only way to easily transfer fields from one form to another without having to rewrite the form from scratch.

Please give me a link to a step by step that suits my question OR say that you do not have one.

Show me a video of exactly what you mean by "On the other hand you can try to deactivate the HIPPA Compliance and field manager app should start working."

Many people have asked a similar question but no answer has come forth.

Time to fix this we all think I am sure.

    Thanks, in advance

    Hi Chris

Thanks for writing back to us.

On further investigation I was able to find that a feature request has already been put up for this. We are sorry that we cannot provide any ETA at this moment. However, if there is any news you'll be updated here on this thread.

Unfortunately at the moment Field manager App is not supported in HIPAA enabled accounts because of data privacy concerns. We are sorry that there is no other workaround at the moment to copy fields to the other form. You may consider cloning the form and adding the fields to the form manually.

    Guide: How-to-Clone-an-Existing-Form-from-Your-Account

    Looking forward to your response.

    Thanks.

    Hi Vicki,

It seems that Field Manager works on the 'front end' of the form by transferring questions field from one form to another. If this is the case, it should not have anything to do with the submissions at the 'back end' of the form.

If this is a separate process, how can the privacy of the data be of concern for HIPAA-enabled accounts?

    Thanks in advanced.

    Hi Chris,

Thanks for writing back to us.

HIPAA forms data gets encrypted right on your form and then transferred and stored encrypted. HIPAA forms data is stored in our HIPAA compliant servers which are separated from the internet using multiple levels of protection and firewalls. The encrypted data is stored in encrypted databases.

This is why even at submissions level the encrypted data can not be transferred.

    Hope this clarifies.

    Thanks

    Hi Vick,

Please have another go at this answer.

Why do you restrict HIPAA complaint accounts from using the field manager?

The front end one should be able to turn off HIPAA and then use field manager to create a form YET TO BE FILLED IN, then turn HIPAA back on.

You are not approaching this question, please try to or have someone with more experience try to.

    Hi Chris,

Thanks for writing back to us.

Please accept my apologies if my answer was not satisfactory. A feature request has already been put up for a solution for this. As soon as one is available you'll be updated on this ticket.

Please understand that HIPAA is a set of standards that are followed by the Organizations involved in the Health Industry. Basically, it is a set of rules and regulations which sets the guidelines for the management of the medical data by the softwares used in this Industry.

    Thanks

    Hi Vick,

Please have another go at this answer.

I still require you to try and tell me why the system is restricting users for hipaa when the app has nothing to do with forms submitted.
