Can We Have A Demo Of How To Post Data To A Custom Thankyou Page Please

Asked by markashton on July 05, 2013 at 10:53 AM

    Hi,

It is claimed in your recent fanfare about Webhooks .. that you can post to a url page and voilla ... submission data can be presented.

Well, I've been on this for hours today... and am finding it as clear-as-mud ...

I'm still trying to crack this: http://www.jotform.com/answers/235847-How-To-Pull-Page-URL-Through-To-Thankyou-Page?entrymessage=10732640770

Jonathan kindly gives an example on how to get submission data to a custom thankyou page ... but it is all about popping values in another form  ... I can do that ... what I want to do is stick it in a thankyou page .. Hi John .. type of thing. No example of that ... but that what I was asking.

http post data .... I've done the php page ... delivered the values by url ... can I get them pumped into the page ... No ... and no one's responding on the forum ...

So, as per the promises via webhooks would you be kind enough to provide an example ... so I can clone the form ... and have a look at what's going on in terms of getting it to work.

    Or can't it be done?

    Thanks Mark

    Hi Mark,

I understand what you are after on passing the value to a string instead. I will create a sample page for you on that.

Lend me a few hours to compose and I will get back to you with an update.

    Thanks.

That would be great. I'll send you a load of cash ;-)

Will be good for all users to have a clear demo for this

    Thanks Mark

    No,

Respectfully ... that's going to a jotform submission page that I learned to do 5 years ago. Can't have clients seeing the jotform url.

Would you be most kind as to read what I have written above.

In a nutshell ... posting field values to a custom url ... in the same way as your example ... and NOT into another form.

    Thanks Mark

    Hi Mark,

Please try test this form http://www.jotformpro.com/form/31845261280956

Fill in the Full Name as required and submit.
It should send and post the data to a custom page.

    This one https://shots.jotform.com/jonathan/webtest/Read-Data-From-Submissions-Using-Post-Request.php

The custom page(php) contains this code http://pastie.org/8113417#11 (just to give you idea on how I pass the POST data to a string variable)

Hope this help. Please inform us if you have further inquiry on this.

    Thanks.

    Jonathan,

Great stuff ... have sorted it.

For everyone ... the solution above provides a way to post submission data on to a custom thankyou page.

Thanks for all your time Jonathan. I greatly appreciate it.
