    Hi there

    Very impressed with your service.

    I have one question. When I use this Customised URL...

    <a href="https://form.jotform.com/201603376512043?proused=1&amp;rating=Good">

    ...everything works perfectly.

    Now I'm wanting to take a further step and generate the link with Mailchimp using its merge tags functionality.

    The URL now adds a number too (taking the number from Mailchimp mailing list field)

    The required URL is now...

    <a href="https://form.jotform.com/201603376512043?number=*|MMERGE5|*&amp;proused=1&amp;rating=Good">

    ...with *|MMERGE5|* pulling the number in from MailChimp.

    However, when I use this URL the number is not pre-populated in the form.

    I do know for certain that a merge tag can be used as a URL as I have merge tags like this that work:

    <a href="*|MMERGE8|*">

    Can what I am wanting to do be achieved?

    Otherwise I will have to try Zapier or something to format the dynamic URL from the variables.

    Would greatly appreciate your assistance with this as if I get it right I will be using Jotform for both me and my clients a lot.

    Regards

    Chris Preen

    Hi Chris,

    Happy to help you today,

    Please note that these tags won't work with JotForm email notifications. This has to be done at MailChimp. JotForm has its own field tags that work only on its system.

    Yes the alternative is Zapier, Please let us know if you need assistance with anything else.

    Thanks
