Is it possible to transfer data between configurable lists on one form?

Is it possible to populate a configurable list with data from another configurable list?

I am developing an attendance and meal counting form for child care centers. I would like for them to be able to enter the names in the attendance list and the meal count list will be populated with the children's names. I am using the configurable list because each center will have a different number of students enrolled.

If this isn't possible, what is the best option for building a mobile responsive form like this? The center employee has to mark the meal count as the meal is served (point of service).

This is a re-post of a comment on How to Pass Field Value to Another Field?

Greetings and thank you for your message.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to transfer data between configurable lists.

Can you please clarify what do you mean by "meal count". By understanding your needs, we will be able to provide you with a proper solution.

    Thank you for your cooperation.

This is a federally funded program and the child care center is reimbursed for the number of meals served to the children -- like the school lunch program. The child care center has to track how many meals and what type of meals are served daily (breakfast, lunch, snack, and supper). The meal count has to be taken as the meal is served. At the end of the month, the child care center files paperwork to be reimbursed for these meals.

The centers with a small enrollment have traditionally used a paper form to tally the count. We have found that there are many mistakes doing it this way and the majority of the time, the client undercounts the number of meals served and they are not reimbursed for all of the meals served.

Our plan is to offer our clients -- the child care center staff -- a simple and inexpensive method to track this. At the first of the week, the staff would enter the names of all of the children enrolled. A configurable list works well for this because each center has a different number of participants. Ideally, the names entered for the enrollment would be transferred to another list to track the meals served. I didn't want them to have to enter the names more than once during a week. The form could be submitted multiple times and the center would use the "edit submission" link to update it. They would receive an email with the updated info and a printable PDF that could be used to file a claim.

Thank you for the additional clarification.

If I understood your problem correctly, the only solution would be to add a new text field where users could be able to enter the meal type. Unfortunately, they would need to do this for each row.
