Duplicate Submissions on Form

    I’ve created a form and got someone to fill it out which worked perfectly, I was very impressed. 
    However, now the form keeps duplicating on its own. Every few hours I get a notification that someone has submitted the form, but it’s the same person each time, I’ve checked and they haven’t re- filled it in since the first time so it’s just doing it on its own. 
    How do I turn this off so the forms only appear once?

    Ive attached a screenshot and a link to my form at the bottom, the screenshot shows the exact same form but it has automatically appeared twice

    I have checked your form and saw that it has 2 submissions, and the data is in fact identical in the two submissions.

    Can you please tell us if the form is embedded somewhere or if you are using it from the direct URL?

    Duplicate submissions can also happen if the person has filled out the form from a mobile browser and hasn't closed the tabs properly. In this case, the mobile browser will force a refresh when they open the browser again, which triggers a second submission.

    You can consider enabling the Unique Submission feature on your form to prevent that.

    I’ve looked at the instructions for the unique submission so hopefully and changed my settings so hopefully that should work.

    It's our pleasure to help. Another solution is to use external thank you page instead of the default thank you page. So when the user opens the browser again, it will load your external thank you page and this will not trigger a submission.

    Let me also escalate this to our developers. Once they implemented a solution for this, we'll inform you here.

    We have now fixed the problem with duplicate submissions. We added some preventive measures to help deter unwanted resubmissions of the previous entry. This should not happen again.
