I'm following up on a closed thread. I'd like to have images show when I share Jotform links on WhatsApp.

Keywords: image preview for form link, header image, image when sharing a link, shared on social media platforms.

    Thanks.

    Hi @foreverpets

It has not been implemented, which means sharing images are still handled automatically.

Please let us know if there is anything we can help you with.

Yes, please. Is there a way that I can have an image show when I share a Jotform link on WhatsApp?

It will depend a little on the social network where you are sharing the form.

You may improve the visibility of the image by using it as a header for your form. In order to do that, you have to add the Header field and upload the image again. Then I suggest you clear your browser cache.

Please have a try and let us know how it goes.

As I said, this is for use on WhatsApp. The new header isn't helping it work. Any other suggestions?

    Hi @foreverpets

I was trying to make the thumb appear on WhatsApp, but I am not getting it for any link I share (not only for Jotform). I will try and see what is going on specifically for them.

I was able to make it appear on my cloned version of your form when I share it on Facebook, by putting the image in the header. It took a few hours to appear, though:

On the other hand, yours is still showing another image:

In your case, the title is also showing up wrong. I believe it is a cache issue, so I cleared your form cache on our end as well. Would you please wait a bit and see if it updates? It may take some hours.

OK, thank you. We actually don't want the chopped-off logo to show. We want the couple with the gray cat. But we don't mind if the orange cat shows instead.

It looks as though the cache refresh you asked us to wait on has not helped. Attached is what is shown on WhatsApp with our link. (Please remember, we are only concerned with WhatsApp sharing at the moment.)

-- There is no thumbnail image.
-- The automated text instructs the reader to "complete this form." That needs to go away; the form is designed so that the reader doesn't have to complete or submit any information.

I'm not able to see image thumbnails when I share a form via Whatsapp. But let me check on this and get back to you here shortly.

Thank you for waiting! Unfortunately, I can't still make it to work on my end. I'm afraid we do not have an option to set an image thumbnail for forms.

But the link preview should ideally capture the first image in the form.

Here's what it shown on my end: http://tiny.cc/88ftqz

I have endorsed this to our devs as a feature request. Though I cannot provide you an ETA for this, we'll keep you posted here once it gets implemented in the future.

Thank you John. Can you tell me how I can get rid of the automated text I circled in the image above? It's very important that people not think they will have to submit information (since they won't!).

Unfortunately, you can not change, modify or delete it.

I can see that my colleague has already raised a feature request to developers to change that text.

    Your understanding is most appreciated.
