HI, Can you please follow up and enable the ability to disable a field, most importantly your new signature field, if a person signs a section and you want to lock it in via a condition you can't, this also is the case with other widgets such as the configurable list. Could you please enable on these asap, but also have it as a eneral ability across any field/widget. thankyou.

    Hello,

We have the option to disable a field using conditions as explained here: https://www.jotform.com/help/371-How-to-Enable-Disable-Fields-Using-Conditional-Logic

If you can let us know the form where you are facing this issue, we could review it for you.

Please just give it a go, I know how to disable fields, but this is not available on all fields as I've mentioned in the original post, your new  signature field (and all widgets that can use for signing) plus the configurable list.

This form doesn't seem to have any signature fields in it, can you share with the direct form link so we can check it further?

    Here is how: https://www.jotform.com/help/401-Where-to-Find-My-Form-URL

    Awaiting your response.

    Best.

I took all the signature boxes because it falls short by being editable.

This is painful.....it's not a form issue on mine...I'm not sure how many times  it will take for you guys to just try it yourself....so here a simple form that you could have made as first asked.

Choose disabled and all should disable...but only the short text will, choose no and it is enabled again. you should run this against all your widgets and elements before implementing

Our apologies. Our widgets are placed inside an iframe, and it is not yet optimized to work with enable/disable logic. I have sent this ticket to our developers to see if they will consider implementing it this time. We cannot provide you an ETA of this request, but as soon as we have an update, you will be notified here.

In the meantime, you may consider choosing the widgets to be hidden (show/hide condition).

That's a very open answer, instead of asking whether they will consider ask when because if you build logic into your system you need it to be across the system (all elements and widgets that are developed internally or externally for jotform) so it's not just a patch work of abilities. it's going to possibly drive myself to another forms system that has this bedded down in their build.

    Hello,

Yes, if it is to be implemented, it will be done across all elements. But at the moment we will not be able to provide a time frame of when it will be implemented.

When the feature gets implemented, we will inform you via this ticket link.
