    Hi Mark

You can setup an autoresponse for each form according to these instructions in our user guide. Is this what you were thinking of?

Hi, my English isn't very good, sorry. I just hope you will understand what I mean. :)

No, I was thinking about something different: When a sender submits a form I want him to receive an automatic response with some link. He must click it to verify his e-mail address. Otherwise his form will not be submited.

    Okay, I understand.

Even though JotForm does not presently have such a feature, there is a workaround where the user has to submit two forms. When he sends the first one, he receives an autoresponse containing a link to a second form whose fields are pre-filled with his name and email address. These pre-filled fields can be made uneditable if the form is embedded using the full source method. (In reality, they can be edited by simply changing the URL in the browser's address bar but most users would not be aware of that fact). All the user would need to do at this point would be to click a confirmation button. (An optional CAPTCHA field can be included to minimize spam). Upon submission of this second form, the user would be informed that his email address has been confirmed.

You would be able to see which users confirmed their email address by matching the submission records of each form.

To see such a system in operation, complete this sample form. (In this example the fields can be easily edited by embedding the full source of the form into your webpage and adding the readonly attribute to the input tags renders them un-editable.)

Would this type of setup be appropriate for your needs?

    Hi Mark

If you have recently checked your email, you would have noticed by now that I have put two forms into a folder I created in your account and have tested the confirmation system.

There are some points to bear in mind when setting up such a system that I will give you later but for now just test it to see how it works. Admittedly, it is not a perfect solution but it does the job.

(Incidentally, your submissions have already been reset to what they were before I ran my test.)

On behalf of Wayne, may I ask which part of his workaround you are having problems with? Can you provide us the URL of the exact page where you have embedded the form?

We'd love to assist you with your concern but we need to understand the gist of what exactly you're trying to accomplish.

Looking forward to your response. Thanks!

    Hi briareoz,

You can assign a regular dropdown field for each of these information. For example, insert a dropdown field for the day, then insert another dropdown field for the month, and lastly, insert a 3rd dropdown field for the year. Don't forget to Shrink these fields so that they will be placed side by side in a single row.

Hope this tip will be helpful and relevant for you. Let us know if you need further assistance.
