Choose data store location?

    Hi there!

I'm interested in using JotForms for a HIPAA compliant project (well PHIPA and PIPEDA compliant). Am I able to choose where the data is stored for my form? I'm based in Canada and would like the data stored here. It is for a small dental office, so we don't need an enterprise solution.

    Please let me know.

    Thank you!

    Cheers,

    Nicole

    Greetings Nicole,

    Thank you for question!

Our HIPAA solution is designed to fulfill the requirements of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. So, our HIPAA solution would also apply to Canadian organizations that do business in the U.S. or interact with the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services or other U.S. covered entities.

For more information, please visit our HIPAA page: https://jotform.com/hipaa/

The PIPEDA seems to be stringent than HIPAA and requires the data to be stored in Canada only:

    https://medipense.com/en/hipaa-vs-pipeda-mandatory-protection/

Unfortunately, we have only HIPAA compliant servers that stores the data in the US servers and it may not meet PIPEDA requirements.

If you want to use JotForm without HIPAA compliance, you may check our Security web page for the security features:

    Thank you!
