PDF Editor: Esignature now appears smaller on PDF - not able to lock the size

    Hi,

Lately, I have noticed that the signatures in the signature field, look a lot smaller than they were before. In order to make them as big as they were, back then, I would have to stretch the frame of the field a lot. And, for some reason, it will enlarge if I stretch it horizontally to form a horizontal rectangle. While, previously, I could enlarge it, by making a square.

This causes a lot of problems, please assist.

    Thank you,

    Asaf

Try changing the question alignment and see if that helps with the signature size.

In the attached screenshot you could see that the chosen alignment was already the "top" one. So, that doesn't help me.

In your example, the signature field has been stretched to the max from left to right. And right now you could only get a big signature, with the Top alignment, and when the field is stretched like that horizontally. If you would try and shrink it to a cube, with the Top alignment, you will see how that signature will grow smaller.

Once, I could get a big signature with just a large enough cube. Now I need a Very Big rectangle instead.

You were right. resizing the signature field into a square makes it smaller (even with the Smooth Signature widget). However, you can always adjust it inside the PDF Editor in case you want to make it larger.

Would you mind sharing with us the problems you're referring to? We'll see if there's a workaround for that, or if there's none, we can escalate it to our devs for it to be checked.

The problems this causes, are that I cannot shrink it to a manageable size within the pdf. I can't have the signature field always take up so much space.

For instance, there are several pdfs, where we need to have two signatures side by side, in the size of the large square you were making with the bottom signature, but as you can see, the signature itself looks too small.

And there are several other pdfs where we need the signature frame to be roughly the size of 4*4 cm, so other fields could fit right beside it. It's not possible if the signature itself is barely readable and very unpresentable to our clients.

Did you make any updates recently that may have caused this? It's been like this for more than a week.
Didn't you get any other complaints about this? I would like to know if this only happens on our end, as in, on our pdfs only.

    Thank you

    Hello,

I am also able to replicate that issue on the PDF Editor. It reduces in size, when you adjust the Signature field to allow two signatures to be added side by side:

Upon further checking, we currently do not have an option to lock in the size of the signature on the PDF document. Hence this different in size while adjusting the field area.

Let me forward this as a feature request to our back end team. We will not be able to provide an ETA at the moment, but once there is an update, we will let you know via this thread.

    Hi,

I know you couldn't give me an ETA at the time, but I still wanted to check for any progress.
After all, it has been almost 6 months since your last response on this ticket, and a month on another ticket I opened. It seems like a very long time to fix something like this.

I would like a response, as It is very urgent.

    Thank you,

    Asaf
