You can still submit forms even thought you have indicated that information is required via the * sign

    Hello Jotform,

I am doing the testing of my website and have found that one can submit the form with absolutely none of the information completey though I have indicated that several text boxes or drop down menu boxes are required (as indicated with the * next to it).  Is there something that I have to do in my jotform to block such things from happening?

    Thank you,

    Leslie

    Hi,

I inspected your form and can confirm that it those fields are set as required indeed. The only way to bypass the required field validation is to turn JavaScript off in the users' browser. There is a possibility, however, that the form's script wasn't able to work properly due to incorrect placements of embed codes or conflicts with other scripts in your webpage. Can you give us the link to your website where the form is embedded? It would really help us in finding ways to solve your problem with the validation.

We'll await your reply. Thank you for your cooperation.

    Hi Neil,

    Please confirm.

    Leslie,

I have already set this thread to private. Any information shared here is safe between you and the members of our support team.

Anyway, I apologize but I realized just now that this problem might have been caused by using the wrong embed codes for your site. Did you use Embed <> codes in inserting your form to your webpage? If yes, please try using iFrame codes.

To get your form's iframe codes:

    1.  Go to Setup & Embed tab
    2.  Click Embed Form
    3.  Click iFrame
    4.  Copy the codes provided

Let us know if this solution works for you. If not, feel free to give us access to your site so we can find out what the real cause is and come up with a proper solution.
