    Hi,

The filepicker.io is an excellent addition to jotform. It makes it possible to bring in photo and video upload from smartphones in a clear and efficient way

However, one shortcoming of a world-class feature, is that it lacks the thumbnail views that the generic file upload function offers.

Could I request this especially as you are currently updating the filepicker.io function.

Is it possible to reference the urls they generate in your html report ... as thumbnails

    Many thanks

    Mark

Hey Mark, thanks for pointing out another interesting thought. Do you mean have the Picker show a thumbnail next to it after it's been uploaded and attached similar to how our File Upload Field works then? Or am I misunderstanding you?

As for the html reference I will have to look into that. I'm not quite following you here but I may be overthinking it at the moment. Do you mean to display the link that the file is found at so that the image can be quickly displayed and seen? Or?

    Hi KadeJM,

Yeah, on a jotform html report ... if you use the generic jotform upload function ... there is a little magnifying glass next to photos/images that gives a handy little thumbnail view.

This is much needed for the filepicker function ... if possible.

The thumbnail needs to reference a cropped/ scaled veriosn of the filepicker url - should be easy done

    Thanks mark

Thanks for suggesting this feature, which I think would be a timely addition, so I have opened a ticket request for this

    Hi Jeanette,

Kenneth has been posting about filepicker and so seems to be on the case with it at the moment i.e. updating the Libarary and API.

Would it be timely to suggest it at this moment as filepicker is being worked on?

    Thanks mark

    Hi Mark,

We will update your for any changes made into our Filepicker field. Yes, I think someone from our developers is updating our Filepicker API.

    Thanks for your patience.

    Hi Mark,

I hope that you will understand that we have a process to follow. We cannot assigned thread directly to our developers, and we can't mandate them to work on this per posting.

All we can assure you is every request/report will be accommodated. We just can't give anyone a timeframe.

Thanks for your patience and understanding.

@ whoever working on html report magnifying glass at this moment ...

Just a pointer to the genius currently working on html reports ... and the magnifying glass thing ... the thumbnail needs to reference the EXIF data in the image so that the orientation is correct.

This is a problem that I have noticed with thumbnails

    Thanks Mark

As the thumbnail popup has been integrated i have started another thread here regarding an issue with the thumbnail popup: http://www.jotform.com/answers/243900-HTML-Grid-Reports-Thumbnail-Pop-up-Needs-To-Be-Correct-Orientation#0

    Thanks mark
