I want to create a form element that is a drop down multiple choice with the option of other so that people can type in an answer. I've been able to create a multiple choice with other but don't know how to make it a drop down format and I've been able to make a drop down and I've click on the multiple selection option but it's not working?

    Thanks!

Please try our Multiple Selection widget. Here's the link: https://www.jotform.com/widgets/multiple-selection

You can also test and check the demo form: https://form.jotform.com/53550285639967

Is that what you're looking for?

Yes thanks! Is there a way to have an "other" option for type in available as well?

Unfortunately, no, the Dropdown or the Multiple Selection widget suggested by my colleague does not have an Other option. Only the Single Choice and Multiple Choice fields have Other option.

If you prefer the widget, you can instead add a Short Text field and conditionally show/hide it user selects "Other" within the widget.
