FEATURE REQUEST: Allow Sub-Accounts to Create Folders inside Main Account for Approval and Organization

Asked by PacificNorthwestUniversity on July 08, 2013 at 07:20 PM

The subaccount users are not able to move or choose folders for forms to be associated with.  Is this just a glitch or is this a software limitation?

I have the ability to move them as the parent user, but none of my subaccount users have the ability.  For example, my subaccount user: lhunter@pnwu.edu is one you could look at.

    Hi Lori,

That's indeed a limitation on the sub-user accounts. You can't move shared forms in any of the shared folders. It will stay as it is. Basically, the two main access restrictions on the shared forms are "View/Delete Submissions" and "Edit Forms".

Let us know if you have further questions. Thanks!

If there is a way that limitation can be changed in a future version that would be good.  Our account users like to create multiple folders within their own accounts and use those folders to keep their forms organized.

For instance, they usually have a "drafts" folder that they store new forms that have been created but haven't been through the final approval process...then, once they are approved, they move them to the appropriate folder.

Not having that ability with this new version is a bit of a hindrance to our process.

Hi and thank you for your input. I've passed this request along with the details via a Features Request Ticket so that our Developers will learn about your suggestion for improvement. We won't be able to provide an Estimated Timeframe as to when something like this might become available since they are busy with Higher Priority Issues at the moment but we will certainly let you know if and when something like this gets added.

We also use JotForm in a similar way at St. Martin University and this would benefit our set up and users as well.  Thanks!  Michelle
