How to prevent duplicate submissions

    Good Afternoon,

    I hope you are doing well. We, Eagle Consulting, are having issues with multiple submissions on our jotforms. For example, let's say I submit a jotform from our website for counseling. The designated recipients on our end receive the jotform. Then, either a few hours, sometimes a day later, and there have been days later when the jotform will resurface in our emails, but it was only submitted one time. How can we resolve this problem?

    A duplicate submission could be caused by a reloaded thank you page. When the form's thank you page is reloaded, the same submission is being sent to our servers again.

    However, this only applies to forms accessed by their direct links. If you use an embedded form, this should not be an issue.

    If you use forms by their direct links, you may consider redirecting users to a custom thank you page on your website upon the form submission. This is supposed to prevent duplicates caused by reloaded thank you page.
