I have a long form separated into pages.  Each page has a Back and Next button.  While the person is moving through the form, they can move forward with the Next button or backward with the Back button.  It does happen that the person completing the form goes back with the Back button and makes changes to responses.  The form I receive has ALL the responses- the original responses and the corrected responses.  I can't know for certain which responses are correct and which are not.

Is there a way to make the Back button work so I don't get multiple sets of responses?

I will add that the form has conditions in it.  When the person uses the Back button and selects a different response the opens up a different chain of questions and provides responses to those questions and submits the form.... that is where I have the issues.  I receive a form with responses to multiple condition statements when I should have responses to only one set of conditions.  I don't know which responses are accurate.

Is there a way to make the Back button work so I don't get multiple sets of responses? — I assume that the back button you are referring is when they click on the browser's back button.

I though of that because if user is only clicking the form's back button, it won't submit the form unlike if user already submitted the form and decided to go back and change the data.

If you don't want users to submit multiple times, try enabling the unique submissions feature https://www.jotform.com/help/64-How-to-Set-Unique-Submissions-on-a-Form.

I just updated by question.  As I stated, the form has NEXT and BACK buttons.  I am not asking about the browser back button.

The user is not submitting multiple times- only once.  It is that they are answering two or more sets of condition statements through he Back button and I get ALL the responses.

Since we do not have the form URL, we cannot check your form's current setup. Nonetheless, if you want to clear values of the conditionally hidden fields as the user updates his/her answer, please change Clear Hidden Field Values to Clear on Being Hidden.
