How to disable collecting IP?

    Good morning

I'm an academic researcher at the University of Sussex, UK. I used JotForm in the past and appreciate your service.

I would like to use JotForm again, in an academic study. However, my ethics committee doesn't want me to use JotForm. Their main argument is that, by default, JotForm collects respondents' IP addresses, which would threaten people's anonymity. So I would like to know if it's possible to turn off the collection of IP addresses in my form.

    Thank you for your attention.

    regards

    Edison

It is not possible to disable this feature at this time.  You can hide the data from the submission view of that form:

    https://www.jotform.com/help/269-How-to-view-Submissions

This option can not be turned off. You are able to hide it from the submissions page:

All data on JotForm is highly secured and all data on JotForm's servers are safely secured so you don't have to worry about the security. You can read more on this subject by clicking here.

Another workaround would be to delete the submissions from JotForm so no information gets stored at JotForm end and integrate your form with the Google Drive or the Dropbox so that you store the data only at your end.

Let us know if you have further questions.

    Thanks.
