I received 12 submissions to one person

    Hi jotform support super stars,

I'm running in to a couple of problems with my form today.

1.) Submissions seemed to be coming in just fine until the last few people attempted to submit their form. One person (Reynolds Chapman) wasn't able to get confirmation of his submission and consequently ended up accidentally submitted it like 12 times.

Two more people after that said that there were also not able to get confirmation that the form had successfully submitted. What could be causing this when everyone else that submitted a form today didn't seem to experience that issue?

2.) I am using the calculator widget to add up the total cost of items that people can select on our form. This seemed to be working fine for most people today, but some people said that the form was not adding up their order correctly. I can dig through emails and form submissions to give you exact items that weren't adding up correctly if that would be helpful.

Thank you in advance for looking into this for me!

    Chas

I am just assuming that it is related to the internet connection. To avoid this, you can add a Captcha field to your form. https://www.jotform.com/help/205-How-to-Add-a-Captcha-Field

When you say confirmation, are you referring to the autoresponder email or the notification email?

As for your second question, I created a new ticket for it to avoid confusion. Please check my reply on this link: https://www.jotform.com/answers/2416640

    Hi there,

Thanks so much for looking in to this for me. I will definitely add a captcha to the form. I didn't realize that was necessary for a form that was not asking people to share sensitive financial info. Would you recommend using captcha's on all of my forms?

I recommend it if you're receiving duplicate submissions. This will avoid the user to click the Submit button multiple times.

Please check and monitor the form and let us know if you receive multiple submissions again so we can investigate it further.

    Thank you.
