"Hiding" An Element Extends It's Width

It seems that selecting "Hide Field" adds a lot of unnecessary width to the element and you CANNOT have 2 elements next each other (see screenshot).

Is there a way around this?

Hi, thank you for reaching out to us.

The hidden fields will only take a full width when the field is active. The field will return to its width when it is not selected.

Ok, thanks.  Then how come I cannot get fields to be side-by-side when the build view has them shown next to each other ... but the published version does not.  See screenshot.

This happens with a lot of elements on all my forms.

Please enable the Customer Number form field to Move to a new line. Here's a screenshot guide:

Please check my demo form: https://form.jotform.com/201815245042950

I increased the form width to 790px. Will that work for you?

If not, we can apply a custom CSS code to reduce the width of the form field.
