How to edit a form without losing any data?

how can i make changes to my form and not loose data submitted on previous forms

Deleting a form field will also delete the data associated with it. If you would need to delete a field or replace it, the best way to avoid losing data is to download first the submissions: How-to-Download-Form-Submissions-as-Excel-CSV-PDF

Then you may proceed on updating the form or replacing fields. You may try to revert the form on its previous state, wherein before all the changes are made to restore the data, here's a detailed guide: How-to-View-Form-Revision-History
