Adding elements to an existing PDF

I want to add elements to an existing PDF but the format seems to change. Is there a way to keep the original format of the PDF but still add the elements?

Do you mean to say that you want to add a new field in your original PDF that you imported? Yes it is possible to achieve your requirement. You can add a new field in web form which will also add a field in original PDF as well. You can then drag the filed to desired location. Please check the screenshot below:

I attempted this but when I went to view it, it the format of the original PDF changes. So to make my question more clear, is it possible to make an existing pdf fillable with JotForm while keeping the original format?

Unfortunately no, it is not possible. Please note that you cannot add a new field in the original PDF form and make it fillable. You can add a new field in web form and then a new field will be added in the original PDF which can be moved to desired location but you cannot download the original fillable PDF with new field.

When the submission is received in form, original PDF will be downloaded with submission data.
