Document missing from upload

    Hi there,

    The URL provided should have allowed mt to download this pdf which a client uploaded but it returns a 404 error. Of the 7 documents uploaded on this form 5 download as expected, but two give this error.

    Do you know what the error might be?

    As a result, it has caused the Google Drive integration to also fail, i.e. no documents were added to the created folder as a result.

    We apologize for inconvenience. I also checked on the files download links and can confirm they were not working. Unfortunately, it appears that the respondent did not completely or successfully uploaded those 2 files when they submitted the form.

    You can check also in the form submission page. You can use the file link to download them. For those 2 pdf files, the links were broken so they were not available to download. 

    You will have to ask the respondent to resend those files. You can either ask them to resubmit the form and redo the submission upload, or you can also just request separately via email (i.e. contact the respondent internally via your email).

    Thanks, This is actually the second time this has happened. Do responders
    not receive a notification if an upload fails? The first of the two
    questions that this submission file upload didn't work for is a required
    question, so I'd have hoped the form would not be submittable if the upload
    had failed.

    They won't see any error during the transmission of data. The form validation is only triggered for the required fields only. Those lost or incomplete submissions usually happens when the connection dropped or somehow broken while data is posted.

    Those lost data never reached Jotform server, thus, causing the error you are seeing. The only solution is to request for them to re-upload the file.
