having problems with emails and the reply to address (no reply@jotform.com)

    Suddenly when our forms come in via email, when we hit reply instead of having the customer's email address in there, it instead has noreply@jotform.com

    I went into one of our forms and the email settings and noticed that this had changed from the email field to noreply@jotform.com.  I changed it back to the email field that the customer enters and did a test, but it still came in from noreply@jotform.com

    Any suggestions?

    If you set the reply-to address to the email address on the form the reply will go to the person who filled the form when you reply to it. 

    You can also set the Sender Name field with name field on the form. 

     

     

    Just to test things I added notification to this form and set the email field as reply to address. Then I filled the form with this email field. The reply-to address was correctly defined.

    And when I replied it really set the reply address correctly.

    Firstly, this doesn't work. I've mapped the Reply-to email field to the email address field in the form at it still uses the noreply@jotform.com address instead. 

    Secondly, why has this been altered without warning any of us. I've been replying to emails since yesterday afternoon and all have just disappeared into the ether. No bounceback. No nothing.

    We'd suggest to open a new thread for your question so we can help you better. First off, for the noreply@jotform.com issue, recreating your email notification should fixed it. Simply delete your existing notification then create a new one with the "Reply-to" email as your email field. We also added a non-branded email "noreply@formresponse.com" and SMTP feature that allows you to send email using your own SMTP server. Send Form Emails From Your Own Email Address: JotForm Now Support SMTP.

    Please try this alternative first, if you have further questions, kindly open a new thread so we can further assist you.

    This issue has been solved for emails that are sent non-conditionally. This fix is NOT working for conditional emails.
