Clone > form: possiblity to clone autoresponder and notification emails along with recipient data

After all the time its taken me (and your colleagues) to get my Autoresponder emails working correctly the way we need them to for our business, I'd hate to have to start from scratch with every form, especially when they should all be basically the same, with only a few minor tweaks. I see how to copy an Autoresponder within a form. Is there a way to clone one from one form to a different form?

Unfortunately it is not possible to clone email settings from one form to another but if you want, you can copy the content source code of the email alert and paste it in another form's email alert.

Thanks, Gerardw! That's a pretty easy work-around! Unfortunately, it doesn't copy the Recipients, or the Advanced tab information. But, its better than nothing. Besides, those are pretty easy settings to manually configure.

Since I'm not the first person to ask such a question, please submit a user request on our behalf for a possible feature upgrade to enable simple click-to-copy (or Copy & Paste) cloning of notification and autoresponder emails, as well as conditional logic email triggers and display messages from one form to another. That would be a huge time saver! Once you finally have everyting working correctly and tested, you sure don't relish the idea of having to duplicate everything from scratch, and possibly introduce the same errors or mistakes that necessitate more troubleshooting, as you did the first time.

    Thanks again,
          :-)

    Hello,

The autoresponder emails anyway do not have a field to enter recipient data. It is directly selected from the fields available on the form. Where as on notification emails, you manually enter the recipient email address.

However, when you clone a form, the conditions get retained along with the display messages. Could you let us know which display message are you referring to? Is it related to custom Thank you pages linked to conditions?

I'll forward a feature request to our back end team to check the possibility of cloning notification emails and autoresponders so that all  setup data are retained including recipients and fields setup in the Advanced tab. We will not be able to provide an ETA as to when or if this feature will get implemented. But when this feature gets implemented, we will notify you via this ticket link.

    GerardW -

Yes, I was talking about Displays triggered by Conditional Logic. (All though, they can be copied using the source code method you suggested. And, the conditional logic triggers are fairly easy to duplicate manually.)

I was also talking about copying the settings from the Recipients tab and the Advanced tab of Notification and Autoresponder emails, when copying/cloning the email. (Currently, that isn't possible when copying source code.)

Finally, it would be nice to have the ability to Disable emails rather than delete them, like currently exists with Conditional Logic triggers which can be Enabled/Disabled.

Thanks for making these suggestions to your backend Dev team!

    Enjoy the holiday weekend!
