    PayPal and Postage

    I have created an item for payment through PayPal. I believe my PayPal account is then adding the postage charge to the item. Normal If I was creating a button within paypal i could either specify the postage cost or choose not to charge it if it is different from the global carriage charges set in the PayPal account.

     

    How can I stop this being added through Jotform as it does not create the button in my PayPal account?

    Hi,

    I am not entirely knowledgeable about this but if you haven't you can try doing the steps outlined in this page.

    Anyway, I have submitted a report ticket for your questions so that it can be dealt with appropriately by our developers who I'm knows everything about this whole Paypal postage charge thingy.     Hi,

    I have already submitted a ticket for this issue. Unfortunately, our developers have not taken a look yet.

    In the meantime, you can try setting a global or default postage charge in your Paypal account. That should solve your postage problem temporarily.

    The account has buy buttons created in paypal that have both global and local charges added to them. In the case of the local I can specify this on the individual button in PayPal when i create it. The 'button' created by JotForm does not appear in my list within paypal, and I can not therefore set the local postage cost to 0 on this item. PayPal simply applies the glogal setting...

    Well then maybe you can set the global setting to '0' so that your Jotform-generated products will have a postage of '0',  then set the individual postage charges of the other Paypal-generated buttons. I hope I'm making any sense here.

    Anyway, like I said, this request is now on our developers' todo list. I cannot guarantee a completion time though, as we currently do not have enough manpower to implement all our users' requests. In any case, we'll be updating you through this thread so please stay tuned.

    not possible asa lready said a global settings are set for a number of sales items. where specific charges are required these are set locally, i need to do that on the jotform 'button'
