Form submission: include assignee email also in submissions

    I had mentioned this in a support request, but wanted to post as an official feature request.


    It would be a great feature if through the API we could pull in the JotForm users email address.  This is stored already in the JotForm data, but we need it via API so we can perform a validation check in some integrations we are working on with Salesforce.

    We are limited the Form submissions by domain name already, but we need to have some user identification to complete the validation.  Our only option now is a manual data entry field, but this can't be "truly" validated as anyone could put in any data.

    Is this related to your other ticket here https://www.jotform.com/answers/2436708? To clarify, you want the assignee's email to be sent on Zapier too?

    Just FYI, it is possible to fetch the user's account information through API. Here's the API endpoint https://api.jotform.com/docs/#user. You can write a script that fetches the user's account email address and have it auto-filled in the form's hidden email address field.

    Thanks for the quick reply @EltonCris.  Yes, I suppose what I actually want is the assignee's email to be include in the form data sent out to Zapier/Integromat.  My mention of API was incorrect.  Sorry about that!

    I'm afraid my scripting ability is limited, so wouldn't quite know how to format that as a hidden field if that's my best way forward.

    At the moment, we don't have the option to include the assignee email to the form submissions data. 

    Let me forward that as a feature request to our back end team to check. We would not be able to provide an ETA, but once this feature gets implemented, we will let you know via this ticket link.
