Save Forms Feature is not appreciated

I am following up on a previous users complaint https://www.jotform.com/answers/2164706-I-used-to-be-able-to-just-tell-users-that-they-can-leave-the-form

I am having the same issue, it was so simple to exit the screen and come back to the same screen using the same mobile phone and see all data retained.  I can not use the save feature when I want to have multiple employees using a form for inspections and sending that form to me.  The save feature sends the mail to me and not my operator, so they do not have access to it.  If i am in an area with no service, this was my goto solution.  Open the form before hand, enter the no service area, fill out the form, return to service area and hit submit, that no longer works either.  The return to service area seems to want to refresh and I lose everything.  The old way was soooooo much better.  Can I get this functionality back?

Please note that if you enable continue form later feature in form and send the form URL to your operator, they can click on the save button and send the URL to their own email address. Please check the screenshot below:

As you can see in the screenshot above, user can input their own email address and email with link to continue form later will be sent to that email address.

    Hope this helps.

Please note that you can take advantage of our JotForm mobile app and access form offline. You may like to take a look at the following guide which should help you: https://www.jotform.com/help/589-How-can-I-use-JotForm-Mobile-Forms-without-internet-access

Thank you for the quick response, the offline piece is great and the JotForm community have been waiting for a long time for this functionality.  I will play around with it however the loss of data issue is still a problem for people using a hyperlink to my form.  We never had a problem with any user being able to half fill in a form and be walking to the next building to complete the form and something happens, it happened to me yesterday.  The page gets refreshed or you leave the page to get to the calculator and when you come back it may autorefresh.  I havent pin pointed all the scenarios but I just cant rely on the data staying there any longer and not knowing when its going to happen, I can t be expected to keep saving the form.  The old way was rock solid.  I had to put a button on the screen called "Clear Data" for the user to start over and get rid of the data.  You could close the form, refresh the form, probably restart your phone and get back all the data.  The only time I had a problem was when I was in an area without service and tried to submit, then I would lose the data and the offline piece may solve that now.

But I need the data to be cached until I submit or clear, the save feature is nice, dont get me wrong but that should have been an added feature not a take away what works and replace feature.

Were you earlier using the feature to build session URL to save the user's data in session? That feature was replaced by new save feature and this appears to be more robust where you do not have to manually build the session URL.

Please let us know with which form you had this issue yesterday where the data was cleared, and we will take a look.

We will wait for your response.

No,I found a link on Jotform that describes what I have lost https://www.jotform.com/answers/1438125-How-can-customers-save-their-progress-and-continue-later

    1. Browser-based method

Easy to setup, but relies on the Browser's Local Storage. It's also commonly known as Autofill.

Meaning, if a user started filling out your form using Chrome, left their desktop/laptop, went back and re-opened the form on a different browser, then their progress is lost. Using that same Chrome browser again would allow them to continue where they left off.

This functionality NEEDS to come back!  It was simple, easy and guaranteed me no loss.  I have been burned by this 4 times in the last 2 weeks.  I can not continue with Jotforms without it.

Please bring back this simple functionality.

Please note that similar feature is still available in form. You can enable "Continue Forms Later" setting in form setting which will display a save button. You may like to take a look at the following guide which should help you: https://www.jotform.com/help/227-How-to-Enable-Autofill-on-Forms
