I have a client who tried to edit a submission to add an item that a customer had forgotten to buy. She added this item and the form deleted several items that had been ordered. When she tried to add back what the form deleted, the form deleted additional items. How could this happen?

The third screenshot is not the whole order but you can see how the total decreased.

    Hi,

We would like to apologize for the inconvenience.

I cloned your form, as well as created a fresh form, and was able to recreate the issue on both instances.

The issue is tied to the Inventory widget, not working properly on submission edit.

If it could help, base on my tests, the calculation seems to correct itself the moment you click on the submit button, right before the data get sent to the server. So for the meantime, if you could ignore the confusing calculation on submission edit, you should still get the correct price upon submission.

I will now forward this to our backend team for further investigation. We will notify you via this thread once there is an update on this.

Unfortunately we haven't received any feedback from our developers. Due to multiple factors, we are unable to give out any timeframe for tickets sent to our backend team. Rest assured that once we get an update, you will be notified here.

Could you please make an inquiry as opposed to passively waiting for a response? Thank you.

    Hi there,

We have updated the Inventory widget and now the widget sends the previous data and the calculation will work as expected, but as you use collapses in your form the widgets are not getting fully initialized if the collapse section is closed by default. The calculation process will run as soon as you open the collapse sections in the edit mode. We also work on that feature. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused to you. We will let you know in this thread when we fix that logic too. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

    Regards,

    Widgets Team

Thank you for working on this but I don't fully understand the answer. Are you saying that existing items that were ordered will no longer be deleted when my customer is editing other items? I'm not sure what affect the collapsing sections have on the original problem but if you're doing something to improve the widgets, I'm all for it..

Our developer said that they fixed the issue with the Inventory widget. However, the calculation on your form will still not be performed automatically when the edit link is used because you have Section Collapse fields, which are closed by default. The calculation will be performed when the edit link is used only when you open the Section Collapse field, where the Inventory widgets are located.

    Here is an example:

If you want that the calculation is automatically performed on your form when the edit link is used, you need to set the Section Collapse field were the Inventory widgets are located to be Visible (Opened).

     Hi,

Now the calculation will be performed when your form loads and without opening Section Collapse fields. Please clear your browser's cache and test your form once again and let us know if the issue still persists on your end.
