    Request: Allow to Enlarge Matrix Cell Text Size on Email Result

    Asked by DanMax on July 23, 2013 at 01:27 PM

    Hello. I would appreciate some advice on how to enlarge the font used for cells in a matrix.  The matrix results currently are smaller compared to the rest of the form and our recipient is complaining about eyestrain.

    I tried to use some of the CSS injection that I found while searching the forum. I was only able to change the matrix header label size, not the size used in the matrix cell contents.

    Below is a screen shot showing the smaller font in the table results.  And here's the address of the form:    http://form.jotform.us/form/31345750551147

    Thanks for any advice you can offer!

    Thanks for contacting us.

    To make the make the text entered in the table bigger, please insert this custom CSS code to your form:

    .form-textbox

    {

    font-size:18px !important;

    }

    If you want to make the text bigger or smaller edit the value 18px.

    If you need further assistance, please let us know.

    Thanks.

    EliezerN, thank you for the reply.

    I implemented the changes you specified. Unfortunately it has made no change at all in the size of the cell text.  Can you take a look at it? Thank you!

    I checked your form and I found that it does not have the code I gave you, the only code that your form has now is this one:

    #id_10

    {

    margin-left: 228px !important;

    margin-top: -30px !important;

    }

    And the one I gave you is this:

    .form-textbox

    {

    font-size:18px !important;

    }

    Please try with this, that should work.

    I have also cloned your form to do the changes, you can checke it and also clon it if it's helpful for you , here it is: http://www.jotform.com/form/32046350742952

    If you need further assistance, please let us know.

    Thanks.

    Eliezer, thank you for the reply. I'm not sure why the code wasn't there when you checked. I may have removed it after it didn't work.

    I can view your cloned form, but the results of that cloned form don't seem to get sent to us. So I have no way of seeing if the form results have a larger cell text size.

    Just now I have re-added your code to our form. I even increased the number from 18px to 22px for what should be a more dramatic size difference. I saved the code and left it in there. Here is a screenshot taken a minute ago of the added code.

    And here is a screenshot of the results the recipient receives when that form is filled out. If you look at the screenshot in my previous post I think you will see that the cell text size has not gotten larger.

    Do I also need to edit the message formatting in the recipients section?

    Thanks!

    Dan

    Please try clearing your browser cache as I can see the matrix text are already enalrage

    then add a comma before the number sign (#) in your css code.

    it will be also a good idea to add the other class ID as well.

    .form-textbox, .form-textarea, .form-dropdown { font-size:22px !important; }

    If you need further assistance, please contact us again.

    I'm grateful for your reply, but I guess I'm doing a poor job of explaining the issue. I will try again. Here's some quotes from my previous posts :

    >>  The matrix results currently are smaller

    >>below is a screen shot showing the smaller font in the table results.

    >> seeing if the form results

    >>And here is a screenshot of the results the recipient receives

    Please notice that I continually refer to the matrix results. The results that are sent to the recipients box. Jeffrey, your screenshot has a blank email address and adjustable time dropdowns which are still visible.  This leads me to believe it is a not a screenshot of the results that are transmitted via email to a recipient, but a screenshot of the (pre-sent) form while it's being filled in.

    We don't have a issue with how the form looks before it is sent to us. We have a problem reading it after it is sent to us. The contents of the matrix cells are too small. The screenshots I am including are of the results -- the form after it is transmitted.

    I hope I've done a better job of explaining. I appreciate your time and responses!

    Hi Dan,

    That's pretty clear enough. Thanks for clarifying it well.

    I've been trying some hack around by editing email template source but it seems not possible unfortunately. Table formatting on matrix results are generated by our system so I believed there's no available solution for this as of the moment. I will try to address your concern to our dev team, maybe they can provide a working solution in the future for this element.

    Thankd and Regards!
