Transfer/Copy Forms to Another Account

Asked on July 28, 2020 at 1:45 PM

    Good Afternoon,

Before the creation of this account for my department, a few of us had documents floating around in separate free accounts. Now, we want to get them all organized in one place. Is there any way to copy forms from one account to another? Can we copy/duplicate a form to an account?

    Thanks!

    Hello Felecia,

We can move forms from one account to another. We only need the URLs and the username of the other account where the forms should be transferred.

Copying a form is also possible. You only need to get the URL of the form and clone it.

    Guide to clone: https://www.jotform.com/help/42-How-to-Clone-an-Existing-Form-from-a-URL.

    Thanks

    Hi!

Unfortunately, for security reasons, Form transfer is disabled on HIPAA accounts. For us to be able to transfer the forms, you would have to deactivate HIPAA on the accounts.

Please note the form transfer request should come from the form owner.

    Regards,

    Good Morning,

To clarify, the accounts themselves would have to request a transfer to another account (the account that I was trying to transfer them to). Is this correct? Also, if HIPAA is deactivated on the form, can it be reactivated once it is transferred? Will all of the responses also be transferred once the forms are transferred or will those responses remain on the original account?

    Thanks!

    Good morning,

Yes, the transfer request should come from the accounts themselves.

You will be able to reactivate HIPAA again after deactivating it. HIPAA should be disabled on both the sender and recipient account for the transfer to work.

All submissions data/responses and settings will be transferred along with the form to the other account.

Let us know should you have more questions.
